Congratulations to the members of the Distance Medley Relay team that competed at the 18th Annual Illinois Prep Top
Times Indoor Classic. They ran a great race and finished in second place, just .52 seconds out of first place (results). The relay consisted of the following HPHS Track & Field athletes: David Erf (1200-3:23), Matt Black (800-2:03.8),
Scott Rothschild (400-:52.0), and Mike Boughdiri (1600-4:23.0)

2009 Track & Field - 24 Hour Run
Congratulations to the 2009 HPHS Boys Track & Field Team for another
successful 24 Hour Run! This year, the team ran an outstanding 247 miles and raised an incredible amount of $20,900!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great job by all who participated
in this wonderful charity event. A special thank you to Ben Swerdlow and Josh Mintzer for organizing this years
event. This year, the Charity Drive is dedicated to the Foundation
for Retinal Research (FRR), an organization committed to finding treatments and cures for Retinal Degenerative Diseases and
to supporting the lives of affected families. FRR is also the only organization that focuses its research on Leber’s
Congenital Amaurosis (LCA)—the most common cause of congenital blindness—which causes children to gradually lose
their sight with age..
